PAPIER D'ARMENIE PAPER INCENSE

Green Pack - "Tradition"

Armenian Paper® is the oldest home fragrance. Scents with sweet, vanilla and balsamic notes reminiscent of the scents of the East. The unique smell of the small paper comes from Benzoin resin whose disinfectant virtues were discovered by Auguste Ponsot in 1885, during a trip to Armenia. He decides to import its benefits into France. Benzoin was once used externally to treat asthma, coughs and colds, it is still used today as a wound healer. It perfumes your home and removes any bad smell of cooking, tobacco, animals, etc.

Instructions for Use:

Detach a slat, fold it into an accordion shape, place it on the edge on a heat-resistant support, light it and then blow the flame to avoid igniting it because it must burn slowly.

Burn one slice at a time, 3 to 4 times a week
Regularly ventilate the house
Do not let a slat burn unattended
Do not leave the product within reach of children
Avoid directly inhaling the smoke
Ventilate the room after use

About Papier d'Armenie:

In tune with the times since 1885.

A story of creative audacity and transmission.

The history of Armenian Paper® begins in the nineteenth century. During a trip to Armenia, Auguste Ponsot noticed that the inhabitants perfumed and disinfected their houses by burning Benjoin. Seduced by this traditional and ecological practice, he decided to import this product in France.

His partner, pharmacist Henri Rivier, discovered that by dissolving benzoin in alcohol at 90° a persistent smell was obtained. The addition of fragrance gives a pleasant and tenacious aromatic mixture. All that remains is to find support. It will be the blotting paper that absorbs the mixture while retaining the original smell of benzoin and burns slowly without making a flame.

The manufacture of the oldest home fragrance is artisanal and worthy of that of a luxury product... 6 months and no less than 12 production steps are necessary to obtain the famous little notebook.

Mireille Schvartz, great-granddaughter of Henri Rivier, thus perpetuates the family tradition, scrupulously respecting this unique know-how that makes the success of Papier d'Arménie®.
Located in Montrouge since the beginning, the business is family. Some employees have been loyal to Papier d'Arménie® for 3 generations.
