About TU-ET-AL:

From an early age, Matthew and Natalie Kanbergs each discovered nature’s magic. Matthew in California’s redwood forests, and Natalie in the woodlands of Pennsylvania. These formative experiences sparked a profound respect for nature’s gifts, guiding them toward a lifelong connection to the natural world.
In 2009, Matthew and Natalie met and quickly became partners in both life and creativity. Together, they cultivated an indoor garden in their New York City apartment and made a commitment to eliminate synthetic products from their home. This shared dedication to nature and wellness laid the foundation for what would become TU·ET·AL. Natalie earned her herbal certification at the NY Open Center, while Matthew deepened his practice in plant cultivation. Together, they began crafting household and body products, drawing from Taoist practices, alchemy, and plant medicine, melding their individual knowledge into a unified vision.
With the birth of their first son, they embraced the next stage of their journey, moving to a cabin in the Catskill Mountains. This new home, surrounded by nature, provided the perfect environment for the evolution of their vision and the growing business that would become TU·ET·AL. Through his apprenticeship with master soap-maker Susan Ryhanen of Saipua, along with ongoing studies in herbalism and Andean Cosmology, Matthew continues to refine his craft. Natalie’s deep connection to herbalism and nature further fuels their shared mission. Together, Matthew and Natalie have built TU·ET·AL, a company that honors the earth and channels the transformative power of nature and the cosmos into products that support wellness and sustainability. Through their journey, they offer others the opportunity to reconnect with the healing magic of nature.

ELEMENTA- By repurposing off cuts, test batches, and imperfects from their cold process soaps, they create unique terrazzo-like bars that minimize waste. Hand-cut pieces are blended with base oils of Olive, Coconut, Kokum Butter, Castor, Shea Butter, and Jojoba. The result is a beautifully textured soap with a woody/floral essential oil blend which compliments the remaining scents in the soap pieces. Embracing low-impact practices, Elementa is left unboxed.
